Crysis 4 Crytek unveils the release of a new Crysis

This is the information not to be missed at the end of January. Crytek, the studio behind the revered Crysis games, has announced that it is developing Crysis 4. The opportunity for many players to dive back into the futuristic universe created in 2007.

If we talk to you about supersoldiers, alien invasion and nano-suits, does that mean anything to you? No you’re not dreaming, Crysis is once again in the spotlight. Almost 9 years after the release of Crysis 3, Crytek has announced its intention to develop a new installment of the famous franchise. A fourth iteration announced in a video for only a few seconds this Wednesday, January 26, and an announcement that has caused a lot of ink to flow. Indeed, this new component, although located in the universe of these successful futuristic shooters, would not be a direct sequel to the adventures of Prophet but a whole new story. We summarize what we know so far.

About fifty seconds of visuals is all that came out of the Crytek studios. That and a blog post signed Avni Yerli (Director of Crytek). Nothing could be more normal, the game is only in the very early stages of its development, this teaser being only an announcement intended to inform fans. Only information having leaked, the game will be based on the latest version of CRYENGINE, its development will have no negative impact on the follow-up to Hunt: Showdown (a news that will be to the liking of many fans of this excellent and demanding Battle Royale).

Obviously, when we remember the release of Crysis in 2007, there is reason to hope for great progress on the graphics side for this fourth episode, let’s just hope that our machines will be powerful enough to run it. Regarding a possible release date, Avni Yerli, clarified that the game was “in the early stages of its development” and that it will be necessary to wait “a certain time” before seeing it on our consoles and PC. An exit that will be difficult to imagine before 2023, or even 2024.
