Crown Princess Victoria cancels – the word of the court

The Crown Princess Victoria is Sweden’s heir to the throne, which means that she is the one who will take over as queen and as head of state after the king Carl XVI Gustaf withdraws – and with that comes a lot of business that needs to be done.

Among other things, the Crown Princess was present at the Paralympics in Paris, Norway Martha Louise’s wedding and attended dinner at Sagerska huset together with other prime ministers Ulf Kristersson (M) and the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Even her birthdays are big events. The most recent birthday, which was the princess’s 47th birthday, was celebrated with, among other things Olivia Lobato, Molly Hammer, Albin Lee Meldau and Lena Philipson.

Something that is not part of the norm is that a royal chooses to start studying at university. In August, Crown Princess Victoria attended her first lesson in her special officer training at the Norwegian Defense Academy.

And the choice of education has to do will definitely be useful for the princess’s future job as head of state.

“My ambition is now to put all my energy into officer training in order to be able to represent Sweden and the Armed Forces in the best way in the future,” the Crown Princess said then in a statement from The royal house.

Officer training is not like any other training. Firstly, 180 university credits are required in the luggage and secondly, it is required to pass a security check, something which the princess has already put behind her.

The training lasts between 20 and 25 months, depending on the previous military experience.

However, this education has put a damper on other activities that the princess otherwise engages in.

The court writes to Svensk Damtidning that it was involved with the animal rights organization WWF.

“It was previously planned that the Crown Princess would today give preference to representatives from WWF ahead of WWF’s autumn meeting, which will take place later this autumn. Today’s planned priority has subsequently been canceled as it emerged that the Crown Princess, due to her officer training, does not have the opportunity to participate in this year’s autumn meeting,” the court writes to the newspaper.
