Crown Princess Mette-Marit has been infected with the coronavirus, writes the Norwegian court in a press release. She has what the Royal House describes as normal symptoms and is being followed up by her doctor.

The Crown Princess revealed in October 2018 that she was affected by the serious lung disease chronic pulmonary fibrosis, which means that she is at risk of developing a serious illness if she is infected by the coronavirus.

Her husband, Crown Prince Haakon, was sick with corona at the beginning of the summer and was forced to refrain from the mourning service in Oslo Cathedral after the mass shooting on June 26. King Harald was also diagnosed in March and was on sick leave for a period.
