First imagined on paper – in 32 books! – Alex Cross becomes a series hero and arrives in a season 1 of eight episodes broadcast on the Prime Video platform on November 14, 2024. The detective was born from the pen of the successful American author James Patterson, to whom we also owes the book series Women’s Murder Club. The TV series was created by Ben Watkins, an actor who notably worked on the sets of Fires of love And Burn Notice, became producer, screenwriter and director (Hand of God). A season 2 has already been ordered even before the launch of the series.
To play the hero who gives his name to the fiction, the production chose Aldis Hodge (City on a Hill, Black Adam), but spectators will also find Isaiah Mustafa (This: Chapter 2, Shadowhunters), Juanita Jennings (Love, glory and beauty) or Sharon Taylor (The 100).
What is the plot of the series Cross ?
Alex Cross, a Washington homicide detective and psychologist, must deal with a sadistic serial killer who leaves a series of bodies scattered around the city. In the middle of a hunt, trying to penetrate the mind of this dangerous criminal, a mysterious threat emerging from the policeman’s past disrupts his grieving family and weighs on his career.
