Cross -country skiing: Talent’s monster qualification – ready for the quarterfinals: “I knew”

Saturday’s sprint qualification on the men’s side in Italian Cogne ended with four Swedes being on to the quarterfinals. Most impressed was Edvin Anger and Anton Grahn where the latter finished third and indicates second. Måns Skoglund and Johan Häggström are also further.

– I knew I had it in today. I have good skis and the track fits me well, says a unified Anton Grahn.

Grahn is now aiming to beat the best, a 14th place in the World Cup.

– You can count on that, says the talent.

For Edvin Anger, it was nice to compete after a few days of rest.

– It feels good, fun to be back after a little rest. I will try to do my best to win, says a staggering indicator.

It went worse for Oskar Svensson who is out.

Four Swedes on

On the women’s side, four out of six Swedes went on. Maja Dahlqvist, who together with Johanna Hagström finished second in the sprint relay yesterday, became the best Swedish in third place.

– It’s one of my better prologues in a long time so it feels good.

Dahlqvist is joined by Märta Rosenberg, Johanna Hagström and Moa Lundgren. It went worse for the other two Swedes, Moa Hansson and Ella Olsson have competed ready for the day.

– It feels good, I feel good so I hope I get to go fast, says Märta Rosenberg.

The quarterfinals start at 13.00.
