Cross-country skiing: Swedish skiing stars on Therese Johuag’s comeback: Hope we have gotten closer

Hear Ebba Andersson’s thoughts on Johaug’s comeback in the player above.

Therese Johaug, 36, is making a national team comeback and is aiming for the WC at home next season. She announced that last week.

The news has obviously not gone unnoticed by the Swedish national team skaters, who say they think it’s funny that the Norwegian star is making a comeback.

– Of course it’s fun! It’s fun when you like skiing so much that you can’t let it go. It will be exciting to see, says Linn Svahn, for example, to SVT Sport.

“Think she’s great!”

All Swedes that SVT Sport meets in connection with an ongoing national team camp in the upcoming WC city Trondheim describe Johaug’s announcement as very expected. They are all also convinced that Johaug is still top class.

– I think she’s great! If you’ve won everything for many years… I probably wouldn’t have been ready to come back just because it’s fun to compete, but then you want to maintain the highest level you’ve had, says Linn Svahn.

– I think she will be very good, I think so. Then the question is how good we are in comparison. I’m not so sure about that, says Ebba Andersson.
