– It feels great to have this competition, which was the last sprint for the World Cup and I take that with me, says a smiling Sundling who had the biggest challenge in mastering the icy tracks.
– It was a pear and it was about standing on the legs, says Sundling to SVT Sport.
Sundling took the lead and training buddy Emma Ribom lay down in her back but after a minute Sundling had a gap.
– Look and enjoy Sundling’s forcing. There is no one in the world who goes just as fast. It’s world -class deluxe, says expert Anders Blomquist.
Ribom sprinted Johanna Hagström in the fight for second place. The trio then went and showed up for the close audience.
-I’ve had a tough season and it was nice to get an SM medal with me. These are important competitions in Borås for me, says Ribom.
Ebba Andersson to the final
Noteworthy is that Ebba Andersson made it to the final as Lucky Loser and finished sixth at Borås Ski Stadium.
Already in the prologue, Sundling showed class when she won it with seven seconds to Moa Lundgren.
She then won the quarterfinals by six seconds after held again.
In the seminar she was over five seconds faster than Moa Lundgren with the handbrake in.
Maja Dahlqvist and Linn Svahn were missing by the top sprinters.
In the men’s class, Marcus Grate won after a tough spurt settlement with Emil Danielsson. Adam Persson ran over but managed to get up the Save the Bronze.
-It is my first individual SM medal as a senior and it was time, says Grate.
