In yesterday’s mass start, the Norwegian hit straight away and today she had control of the field when there was an individual start of a short 13.7 km. Fleten took her fifth win of the season after winning by 54 seconds ahead of compatriot Anikken Gjerde Alnes who was also second yesterday.
– These are brutal margins. It is necessary for Ida Dahl to get healthy and find her form and for Astrid Öyre Slind to come back for anyone to be able to threaten Fleten. Now she is mentally on another planet, says expert Anders Blomquist.
Ida Dahl has not yet recovered from the illness that stopped her in Marcialonga two weeks ago – but, just like Emil Persson, is betting on being back for the Vasaloppet.
