Andersson was 13.15 seconds behind the shock winner Federica Cassol from Italy.
– I really tried to focus on what I had to do. But it was too slow. I feel a little dejected. I have to recharge until tomorrow, says Andersson.
She was clearly disappointed afterwards.
– It absolutely has to be better than this. It was… bloody crap.
What didn’t feel right?
– It didn’t go fast enough. I don’t have much more to say, Andersson says and leaves the interview.
All the other Swedes went on. Johanna Hagström (2), Linn Svahn (4), Moa Lundgren (14), Märta Rosenberg (15), Moa Ilar (19), Maja Dahlqvist (26).
Therese Johaug competed in the sprint for the first time in 1,492 days and was eliminated outright. The Norwegian finished in 40th place.
