A frequently recurring question before the cross-country skiing seasons is usually: “Who will run the Tour de Ski, and who will be left over?”
When the World Cup or the Olympics are held, many people often overlook the demanding competitions, and instead focus on recharging for the upcoming championship.

But this winter, it seems that most of the Swedish stars plan to run the competitions – which this year are only organized in Italy.
– I want to run the Tour de Ski, and plan to make it fit into the plan, says Linn Svahn to SVT Sport.
– The basic plan is to try to compete quite a lot, and the Tour de Ski is there, says William Poromaa.
– I think I will go on the tour, if everything works as it should, says Calle Halfvarsson.
– I have a basic plan, which includes the Tour de Ski. So I will not opt out, says Ebba Andersson.
National team manager Anders Byström, however, flags that there will be some left over.
– We have a lot of people who have thought both here and there, but haven’t made the final decision yet. So we’ll probably have to wait until the autumn, he says, without wanting to specify who it is about.
