2022 came the message from both Charlotte Kalla and Therese Johaug: Their long careers were over after the season.
The following year, both were two parents every two months, just before and during the summer.
But over the past year, their lives have instead taken completely different directions when Johaug has taken up their career temporarily again with the goal of new World Cup medals in Trondheim. Kalla has followed the Norwegian veteran from the TV couch.
For 37-year-old Kalla, it feels one year younger Norwegian’s investment as impressive as foreign.
– It is still difficult to imagine. I know how much training is required and how different life has been since my son came. I really get perspective on what commitment she must have in the initiative.
See Kalla tell us more about it in the clip at the top.
The Swedish icon, with lots of Olympic and World Cup medals, is most looking forward to the snapped duel between Frida Karlsson and Johaug who await the World Cup.
– Now they have not met for a while and you do not know how they stand against each other. Both have huge foreheads and incredible capacity. It will be incredibly exciting to see them meet in Trondheim.
