The police did arrive on time at the Croeselaan, but chose not to arrest the squatters. The reaction to this decision has been mixed in the Utrecht council. According to the VVD and the PVV, action should have been taken, because squatting is prohibited. PvdA, GroenLinks, Bij1 and Party for the Animals, among others, are happy that no evacuation has taken place. They advocate “a constructive solution”.
