The Swedish School Inspectorate withdraws the permit for the upper secondary school Thoren Business School Växjö. The authority justifies the decision with the fact that there have been serious deficiencies in the education for a long time. These concern, among other things, that the students received too little teaching time.

Regardless of the School Inspectorate’s decision, the school had not continued. The Thorengruppen has previously announced that it is discontinuing operations. The school had 178 students during the school year that just ended.

Several of Thorengruppen’s schools around the country have been criticized by the School Inspectorate for a number of years, including for lack of quality, and some of the schools have had to close.

After the criticism, new owners and a new board have taken over the independent school group.
