An Ica store in Norrköping has faced criticism after a Facebook post about their opening hours on Christmas Eve. The post shows a text message conversation between two employees. One of the employees asks if the opening hours are between 07:00 and 16:00 because the staff want to get home and eat with their families.
“Keep closed so everyone can celebrate Christmas”
The opening hours were correct. But the Ica store’s followers reacted that the staff wanted to get home on Christmas Eve. A large majority feel sorry for the staff and think they should keep the shop closed all day. A follower writes: “Keep closed so everyone can celebrate Christmas”. Another writes: “Poor staff”.

In the comment section, most people agree. A few think the comments exaggerate and point out that many people have to work on Christmas Eve. In one such comment it is possible to read: “Quite convinced that there are staff who happily work on Christmas Eve, you earn extra good”.
