The report deals with hospital preparedness before and during the first wave of infection by the coronavirus in the spring of 2020.
“The state auditors find it unsatisfactory that the Ministry of Health and four regions did not ensure that hospital preparedness was prepared to handle a pandemic, as the first wave of covid-19 infections hit Denmark,” the report states.
Among other things, none of the agencies had planned how to secure access to protective equipment during a pandemic.
According to the report, only the North Jutland region had to some extent taken height so that a pandemic could hit Denmark.
