French President Emmanuel Macron and Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke on the phone for the first time after the massacres in the Ukrainian city of Bucha came to light.

According to the news in the French press, the Ukraine issue was discussed in the Macron-Putin meeting, which started at 12:00 local time and lasted 2 hours and 10 minutes.
Macron and Putin last spoke on the phone on March 29, a few days before the massacres in Bucha took place.
The meeting of the two took place on Saturday after Macron met with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy.

With the emergence of the images of the massacres in Buça, Macron stated at the beginning of April that the images of killed civilians on the streets, transferred from Buça, which were liberated from Russian soldiers, were unbearable and noted that the Russian authorities would have to account for these crimes.
Then, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki criticized Macron for meeting with Putin.
