Critical statement from NATO Secretary General Russia under heavy pressure

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who came to Italy as part of an official visit after England, met with the newly appointed Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Meloni and Stoltenberg held a joint press conference after the meeting. Congratulating Meloni on her new position, Stoltenberg said, “I look forward to working with you. “I also welcome your strong personal commitment to NATO, to our transatlantic alliance between North America and Europe.”

‘WE SEE HOW UKRAINE SAVE THE LANDS’

Reminding that Italy is one of the founding members of NATO, Stoltenberg said, “European security is being questioned. President Putin is waging a brutal war against Ukraine. But we saw how the Ukrainian Armed Forces repulsed the Russian forces and liberated the lands. These gains belong to the brave soldiers of Ukraine,” he said.

‘WE SHOULD SEE HOW THE SITUATION ON THE FIELD DEVELOPS’

Emphasizing that the support provided by NATO Allies is vital for Ukraine’s progress, Stoltenberg said, “We took note of Russia’s announcement to withdraw from Kherson. We’ll have to see how the situation on the ground develops in the coming days. But what is clear is that Russia is under heavy pressure. “If they leave Kherson, it will be another victory for Ukraine,” he said. (UAV)
