The third stage of the Dauphiné once again promises to be eventful with many difficulties.
The second stage of the Critérium du Dauphiné ended in the fog with the victory of Magnus Cort Nielsen under the nose of Bruno Armirail, taken over by the peloton a few meters from the finish line. The Dane, recognizable by his legendary mustache, should have the weapons this Tuesday to defend his yellow jersey.
This 3rd stage between Celles-sur-Durolle and Les Estables this Tuesday June 4 takes place over 181 kilometers and includes numerous difficulties which should favor the favorites and punchers. In order, the runners will have on the menu of the day the Côte d’Augerolles (2.6km at 5.2%) at kilometer 22.1, then, from kilometer 87 the Côte de Saint-Victor-sur-Arlanc (3.1km at 9.4%), that of Retournac (3.2km at 5.4%), the coast of Valogeon (2km at 5.2%) and finally the final climb on Les Estables (3.8km at 5.2%). In addition to Magnus Cort Nielsen, Valentin Madouas, Romain Grégoire, Lorenzo Fortunato, Remco Evenepoel, Primoz Roglic, Aleksandr Vlasov are the contenders for victory.
