The day was led by the latter, made up of Nans Peters (AG2R Citroën), Jonathan Castroviejo (Ineos Grenadiers), Andrea Bagioli and Dries Devenyns (Soudal Quick-Step), Andrey Amador (EF Education-EasyPost), Georg Zimmermann (Intermarché- Circus-Wanty), Matteo Jorgenson (Movistar), Matteo Trentin (UAE Team Emirates), Axel Zinglé (Cofidis), Lawson Craddock (Jayco AlUla), Mathieu Burgaudeau, Matteo Vercher and Alexis Vuillermoz (TotalEnergies) and Simon Guglielmi (Arkéa Samsic) . During the ascent of the Aravies pass, Burgaudeau, Zimmermann and Castroviejo, the strongest, went to the front and therefore played for the final victory. Behind, the favorites were neutralized despite the small attack from Jonas Vingegaard.
