Cristina Cordula’s secret to sorting out her closet really isn’t what you’d expect

Cristina Cordulas secret to sorting out her closet really isnt

Stylist and image consultant, Cristina Cordula is always good advice. The latest? It concerns those who want to sort their wardrobe efficiently.

With each change of season, it’s the same thing: we want to clean up your wardrobe. The idea? Sort your clothes to tackle the coming cycle more lightly. Except that it is not always easy to determine which clothes to keep and which pieces sell, give away or recycle. However, some techniques make it possible to decide on their future in a fairly objective way. Cristina Cordula, TV presenter and image consultant, gave us her ultimate secret during an interview. According to the stylist, if you want to see more clearly in your dressing room, you must above all you know your morphology. This advice is basic but fundamental, since it allows you to put aside all the clothes that do not match your figure. Ciao this dress which compresses the chest, bye bye these jeans which flatten the buttocks… Same logic with what we call the colorimetry. Any shades that don’t flatter the complexion can be put aside immediately.

Get out of your wardrobe

What makes parting with a piece of clothing so difficult is the emotions that we put there. We must therefore succeed in detaching ourselves from it and admitting that what does not suit us or no longer pleases us can be sold, given away or recycledin order to benefit other people. “There is no reason for you to suddenly start wearing a garment that has been sleeping in your wardrobe for four seasons”, confirms Cristina Cordula. To distinguish the clothes you use from others, the advice is to put all its hangers in the same direction at the beginning of the year, and to turn them over the first time you wear the garment that is on them. At the end of the year, the coins hanging from the hangers that haven’t changed direction have nothing more to do in your closet. Last advice to detoxify your wardrobe: remove all damaged clothes that cannot be mended or recovered. Big snags, indelible stains, threadbare materials… We often keep these pieces “in case”because they reassure us and have become comforter clothes, but in truth, they unnecessarily clutter our cupboards. You know what you have left to do !
