Georgia is thus going to the playoffs in its very first ever championship and it’s only a matter of hat’s off. But for the big star Cristiano Ronaldo it turned out to be an absolutely horrible evening.
Ronaldo historic
The 39-year-old was frustrated throughout the match and clearly showed his anger that things went so badly on the pitch. Despite Portugal still winning the group, Ronaldo wanted so much more and, above all, he wanted to score goals.

But the national team veteran did not succeed at all and had only one shot on goal before being replaced in the 66th minute of the match. Then Ronaldo broke a record that he absolutely did not want to reach and wrote history in the worst way.

Cristiano Ronaldo has played in a total of 11 championships, including both the World Cup and European Championship, during his career but this is the first time ever that he has failed to score in the group stage.
