Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the world’s most successful soccer players of all time.
Recently, the Portuguese participated in a high-profile interview where he openly criticized his club Manchester United.
But he also reveals an event concerning Queen Elizabeth II.

As a soccer player, he has won the most, and has been named the world’s best five times. Even the least interested in football has hardly missed who Cristiano Ronaldo – who also has an EC title and five Champions League titles on his CV – is and what his status is.

Noted the interview

The 37-year-old world star’s career has not been completely problem-free, and recently he once again found himself in the limelight after a low-profile interview with the British journalist Piers Morgan.

In the interview, Ronaldo criticizes, among other things, his club Manchester United, where the relationship between the parties has been somewhat frosty in recent times.

But the interview was not only about football, since Ronaldo brought up an incident in his private life where the now deceased Queen Elizabeth II – something unexpected – was involved.

The Queen’s support

Last spring, Cristiano Ronaldo – who previously had three children – was expecting twins with Georgina Rodríguez. Tragically, only one child survived the birth to the great sorrow of the family, and they received great support from an entire football world.

But also from the British Queen, something that surprised Ronaldo.
– I also received a letter from the Queen’s family. It surprised me. That is why I say that I respect English society, the English, because they have been very kind to me, says Ronaldo in the interview.

Who also received support from their worst rival Liverpool when the two teams clashed at Anfield.
“I never expected Liverpool fans to do that for my family. I want to thank the English community, he says.
