Crisis Core Final Fantasy 7 Reunion: the next remake unveiled!

Crisis Core Final Fantasy 7 Reunion the next remake unveiled

Square Enix spoiled Final Fantasy fans yesterday on the 25th anniversary of the release of Final Fantasy VII. The good news is that Zack and Crisis Core are back in a remake on PC, PS5, Xbox, and Switch.

Square Enix has decided to make it big for the twenty-fifth anniversary of the release of Final Fantasy VII. The most popular game in its franchise occupies a central place in the projects of the Japanese studio, the proof of which is with the announcement of the release of the second part of the future Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy. But it’s not FF VII Rebirth that interests us today, no, it’s a much more discreet but much more surprising announcement: the return of Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core in a remake that can be found on all available platforms. The good news is that we already know a lot about this next release.

From the PSP to the PS5, there is only one step. Well not really since we can count between the two more than fifteen years, an entire console generation, and some technological revolutions. It is therefore from the small to the big screen that Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion will pass. This remake of the standalone PSP released in 2007 returns to the story of Zack, more than 7 years before the events of Final Fantasy VII. One could consider that Square Enix therefore offers us with this remake an exciting foretaste before the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth at the end of 2023. It will be above all the opportunity to rediscover this great classic of the license with a brand new 3D engine, a new soundtrack and new dubbing.

Want to spend the winter in your room beating bad guys and solving titanic puzzles? That’s pretty good since Square Enix has planned to offer us its remake Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion from the winter of 2022. A release in a few months therefore, which will allow us to wait a whole year before the arrival of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on PS5. Note that for once, Square Enix has not teamed up with Sony, and that Crisis Core Reunion is planned for PS4 and PS5, but also for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch. Something to satisfy all types of players.
