Cayetana Álvarez de Toledo asks for the resignation of Pablo Casado
The deputy of the PP Cayetana Álvarez de Toledo has requested the resignation of the president of the party, Pablo Casadodue to the open crisis between the national leadership and the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso.
At the presentation ceremony for his book ‘Politically undesirable’ at the Valentín de Madariaga Foundation in Seville, Álvarez de Toledo said that what has been experienced this Thursday in the PP is probably “the greatest crisiscertainly the most absurd and unheard of in the history of the Popular Party”.
For the popular deputy, this crisis “has only one person responsible and it is no coincidence that he has not yet appeared“, which he has described as “one more example of his desperate weakness”, in reference to Pablo Casado.
For this reason, she added that she is “forced” to do “something difficult, which is to request the resignation of Pablo Casado as president of the Popular Party.” (Eph)
