Last week a father was shot dead in pursuit of his criminal son. It is not the first time relatives have been targeted in the gang war through explosions against restaurants and shots through apartment doors where children live.
“Stefan”, whose real name is something else, was previously part of the so-called gang war and explains why criminals commit crimes against relatives.
– If you are in a so-called war, you take all the means you can.
Jerzy Sarnecki, criminologist, says:
– The situation is worse today than five or ten years ago. You want to hurt a person and you can’t get to that person, they are abroad or protected, yet you want to hurt that person as much as possible. Then you go for what you know the person likes, for example relatives.
