Criminal Minds is one of CBS’ biggest series. In 2005, the first episode was broadcast on the US channel. The final followed in 2020. In total, Criminal Minds has 15 seasons 324 episodes in total include – until now. As it turns out, a revival awaits us soon.
Last year there were rumors about a potential sequel to the hit series. However, this never became too concrete. However, based on a Variety report, the project was given the green light. The Criminal Minds revival is created exclusively for the Streaming service Paramount+ and consists of ten episodes.
The Criminal Minds sequel brings back the familiar cast but changes the narrative structure
Joe Mantegna, Kirsten Vangsness, Adam Rodriguez, AJ Cook, Aisha Tyler and Paget Brewster are expected to return. In addition, a another important name on board to continue the story: Erica Messer, who served as showrunner for several Criminal Minds seasons, oversees the revival.

Despite the many returns, there is one big difference to the original: while Criminal Minds dealt with a new case every week, the sequel follows a different narrative structure. Should be over the course of ten episodes a great story be told – an exciting reorientation for the franchise.
In addition to the original series there are various offshoots. Criminal Minds: Team Red emerged as a spin-off from the 5th season and had 13 episodes. The series Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, which started in 2017, has made it to 26 episodes in two seasons. There is also a Korean version of Criminal Minds.
