Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

The developer studio Behavior Interactive is best known for their horror hit Dead by Daylight. The success now allows the studio to tackle new titles and one of them is Meet Your Maker – a brutal take on Mario Maker with a touch of Doom. MeinMMO introduces you to the title.

What is Meet You Maker? The developers describe the new title as a “construction and adventure game”. However, that sounds far too harmless for what is served to you there.

Because Meet Your Maker is brutal, ruthless, and part of the game is watching others die. deaths of your own making.

The game offers you two gameplay situations: Either you build a deadly “outpost” with the extensive level design tools, or you try to go through the created outposts in a first-person perspective. Both also work in co-op mode.

MeinMMO shows you details of both gameplay situations. We include the reveal trailer for you here:

“It never gets boring to watch other people die”

How does building work? As the creator of an outpost, you are responsible for protecting genetic material from the raiders.

Similar to Mario Maker on the Nintendo Switch, you have extensive level design tools to bring death, doom and despair to the invaders.

Instead of a colorful and nice look like Mario, you will find yourself in a dark Doom setting. “Guards” can be set up that could come straight from hell.

These “guards” are already an important element in increasing the raider’s probability of dying. You can assign individual patrol routes to your guards and combine them with your traps.

Traps are the second important component to build your Outpost Raider safe. Explosions, spikes, fire traps – you get a lot of tools to ensure the death of the opponents.

Piece by piece you build your own death tower.

After completing your outpost, you put the death maze online and receive rewards for all raiders who met their premature end in your construction.

You can also view replays of the raids that have gone through your outpost to apply tweaks. The developers see a lot of potential here and write in the announcement: “It never gets boring to watch others die”.

Meet Your Maker is also introducing a season system and regularly adding new constructor parts and leaderboards to crown the deadliest outposts.

Funny on the outside, deadly on the inside – there are no limits to your murderous fantasies.

No two outposts are the same, which brings replay value

How does raiding work? On the other side of the gameplay are the raiders trying to overcome the deadly labyrinths. You start missions from your sanctuary and have to steal the genetic material from the outposts.

With this material you should ensure that the last bit of life is preserved in the world.

To do this, you create individual loadouts with different weapons and advantages. If you don’t pack an outpost, you can readjust it and repeat it with the experiences from the first run. Until you make the outpost or frustration overwhelms you.

Force and skill are the most important tools in survival.

The replay value on this gameplay page is supposed to come from the different outposts. Every outpost in the game should be user-generated and no two are the same.

Each time it makes for a new experience and a confrontation with the individual approaches of the outpost builders.

It’s definitely an exciting idea to combine the foundation of Mario Maker with a brutal shooter approach. But also a big risk to rely so much on community content.
