Which manga does it apply to? The 410th chapter of the Hunter x Hunter manga will be released on Sunday. Fans have been able to experience a new chapter of the story every week for several weeks. But now the manga is taking a longer break.
As the end of the chapter reveals, the manga will only continue “when it is decided.” So it is still unclear when the 411th chapter will appear. However, this is nothing new for fans of Hunter x Hunter, as it has now become rare for new chapters to appear at all. The reason for this is also known.

The Hunter x Hunter mangaka needs to protect his health
Why is the manga on pause? For several years, the publication of a new chapter has had to be interrupted again and again because Yoshihiro Togashi, the mangaka of Hunter x Hunter, is not in the best of health (via X).
One reason for this is the stress that mangakas are exposed to. Eiichiro Oda, the author of One Piece, revealed that he used to only sleep a few hours and hardly eat. This had such a negative impact on his health that at times he had to send his blood values to a doctor every day.
With Togashi, however, it is the back that causes major problems. He suffers from chronic back pain and can therefore only draw sporadically. And only when he’s lying down. It even got to the point where every time he had to go to the bathroom, he would get into the shower because he couldn’t wipe away his mess (via ANN).
Was the manga already on hiatus? The last year in which the Hunter x Hunter manga was published regularly was 2005. After that, publication was repeatedly interrupted by eternally long breaks. The biggest break was from 2019 to 2022.
Four chapters appeared at the beginning of 2023, but after that the manga had to take a break again until around 11 weeks ago. Since then, the chapters have appeared weekly again, but now the next indefinite break is taking place.
