Creative farmer built his own minesweeper

The army’s minesweepers are busy at the front and are not enough when giant fields have to be cleared of mines. In Grakove in the Kharkiv region, farmer Oleksandr Kryvtsov has solved the problem with a little creativity.

– It would take years to clear the fields by hand and we don’t have that time, the farmer tells the Reuters news agency.

The tractor, which is remote-controlled, has been fitted with reinforcements along the sides and equipped with a self-built mine plough.
