Death Valley in the USA, the place that is known, among other things, for having measured the record temperature of 56.7 degrees, has been hit by something very unexpected in recent days.
Enormous amounts of water have fallen from the sky and contributed to flooding the desert landscape. Almost a year’s worth of rainfall – in one morning – has left around 1,000 people stranded in the national park.
As of Saturday, aerial surveys have been underway to ensure there are no stranded vehicles in remote areas.
