A film taken in Auckland, New Zealand’s largest city hit by heavy downpours, has gone viral online.
The images show how several cars are almost completely under water and how a bus driver chooses to drive straight through the waterlogged road.
Some are now calling the driver crazy and think he should be fired for risking the lives and health of passengers. Others praise his dedication to keeping the timetable and ensuring that passengers could get to their workplaces.
Local authorities have closed the road completely. They also say they were working with the bus company to get more information from the filmed incident, but also added that they are proud of the resilience of the bus drivers during the storm.
