Crazy hairstyles and pants down at the “Influencer Darts World Cup” – those were the highlights

The YouTuber Max “HandOfBlood” Knabe hosted his “Influencer Darts WM” on April 27th on Twitch in a cozy pub atmosphere. We at MeinMMO will show you how it went.

What was that event? At the end of January, HandOfBlood announced its darts event as an alternative to official tournaments such as the Alexandra Palaca World Cup: “Poor Ally Pally” in a bar, with crazy haircuts and beer (via Twitter).

The event took place yesterday, April 27th, and was broadcast live on HandOfBlood’s seldom-watched Twitch channel. You can read information about the participants here:

This is what winners look like

Who won? First things first: Marcel “Scorpion” Althaus and drag queen Milo “Aria Addams” Pochylski won. Aria Addams not only convinced with a flawless style, but also with surprising darts skills.

The participation of MarcelScorpion, on the other hand, triggered some discussions among the viewers (via Twitter), because the YouTuber was the only participant with professional darts experience and even beat darts legend John Henderson in March (via sport1).

As a result, some viewers in the chat complained that MarcelScorpion’s team had an unfair advantage. In the final, the YouTuber then demonstrated all his skills and threw a 180: This is a darts term and describes the highest score that can be achieved with 3 darts.

But there were also a lot of special moments apart from the grand finale.

Relaxed bar atmosphere

How was the mood? A highlight of the evening was definitely the atmosphere. Spectators and participants were in a good mood and even the paramedics present were not at a loss for a few loose jokes.

When the participant Sterzik was preparing for his first throw, a careless cameraman ran right in front of the target. Nobody was injured, which the paramedic seems almost a little disappointed about in conversation with the reporters of the evening:

Battle of the hairstyles

What does Hano look like? Organizer HandOfBlood had already announced in advance that unusual hairstyles should play an important role at the event. Of course, the YouTuber had to deliver it himself. His look was inspired by Scottish darts pro Peter Wright.

The result was a mohawk dyed red with a dedication to his LoL team Eintracht Spandau (via Twitter). Participant Sterzik also impressed with a shaved work of art on the back of his head:

Broeki stays airy in the heat of battle

What did Broeki do? Anyone who follows the German LoL scene around Eintracht Spandau and No Need Orga already knows that Daniel “Broeki” Broekmann’s pants fall when things get serious. His team already owed their rise to the 1st division to this special tactic – and perhaps also to a bit of playing ability (via Twitter).

With that in mind, it might not come as a surprise that Broeki got some extra legroom in the Quarterfinals against Rocket Beans’ Simon and Eddy. In the end, however, the Rocket Beans prevailed by a hair’s breadth.

After all, his efforts ensured that Broeki’s pantless throw is the most watched clip of the event.

All in all, the tournament was a great success for HandOfBlood with up to 40,000 spectators and a lively atmosphere on site and in the chat. Whether it’s a one-off fun or the start of an annual tradition remains to be seen.
