Despite reinforced servers, it was not enough when SJ released its tickets for the Christmas and New Year’s weekend at midnight. After only a few minutes the site crashed due to the high pressure and it took a few hours before everything was working again.
The company’s Facebook page has been filled with comments from angry customers who have been lining up to buy tickets. The buyers have also become angry that the prices have been raised in the meantime, which is explained by the fact that it is governed by supply and demand.
Now it is expected that there will be new pressure during the day today when more people try to secure the journey home for the long weekend. The tickets should have been released already in September.
