Two people have been arrested after a car chase in southern Stockholm. They were arrested at the car after crashing at Gullmarsplan. A third person ran away and is being sought by the police.
It was shortly after 19:00 on Friday that the police stopped a car in Hammarbyhöjden. There were three people in the car, who according to the police may have been masked.
– The driver refused to stop, says Per Fahlström, press spokesperson at the police.
The police chased the car to Gullmarsplan, where it stopped.
– They have not collided with another vehicle, but they have collided. Two people were arrested because there were firearms in the car. They are suspected of serious weapons offences. We are now conducting a search operation for the third person.
It is not known if there is any connection to the shooting in Fruängen, which occurred an hour or so before the car chase, or to the recent acts of violence in the capital.
