Crash results in impaired charges

A 34-year-old Princeton man is facing charges after OPP responded to a single-vehicle crash just before 2 am on Feb. 20 on Highway 2 in Brant County.

Police said the vehicle left the roadway, struck a mailbox and got stuck in a snowbank.

The driver is charged with operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol and having a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit.

The ma’s driver’s license was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Traffic stop leads to charges

Brant OPP say a 52-year-old Woodstock motorist was charged after they stopped a vehicle on Paris Road just before 10:30 pm on Feb. 20.

The motorist is charged with operating an unsafe vehicle, operating a vehicle without insurance and failing to comply with two undertakings.

The vehicle was impounded for seven days and the motorist’s driver’s license was suspended for 90 days.

Prohibited driver caught

A 51-year-old Paris man is facing charges after Brant OPP stopped a vehicle on Colborne Street West at about 1:15 pm on Feb. 20.

The man is charged with operating a vehicle while prohibited and driving a vehicle not equipped with an ignition interlock device.
