A 34-year-old Ohsweken man is facing several charges after police on Six Nations of the Grand River responded to a single-vehicle crash on Chiefswood Road, south of Fourth Line Road, shortly after 9:30 pm on June 13.
Police said the male driver was removed from the vehicle by firefighters and taken to hospital by paramedics.
At the hospital, the man got out of the ambulance and ran away but was caught by police.
The man is charged with impaired operation of a vehicle, assaulting a peace officer, uttering threats to cause death and to damage property, escaping lawful custody and mischief over $5,000.
