After massively vaccinating the population against Covid, France is recalling. How much vaccine per vial? How many doses to keep your health pass? How much dose for Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca or Janssen? Up-to-date info.

[Mise à jour le 5 janvier 2022 à 15h52] To extend theefficiency anti vaccines Covid Beyond 6 months, two doses are not enough. It is necessary to make a reminder. “The first dose does not induce a strong enough immune response in an immunologically “naive” individual, that is to say having never encountered the microbe (virus, bacterium), ie the vast majority of the population in the case of the Sars-CoV-2 virus. Most vaccines are administered to children (first injections at the beginning of life) and require 3 or more injections to induce and sustainably maintain a level of immunity beyond a lasting protection threshold “, explains Cecil Czerkinsky, vaccinologist. All French people aged 18 and over are affected by the booster dose if they want to keep their health pass. This reminder should be done in waiting at least 3 months after the last injection and at the end of a period of 4 additional months maximum (from February 15, 2022, this additional period will be reduced to 1 month). All the Covid-19 vaccines used in France are recognized in the Member States of the European Union, recalls the government : Pfizer-BioNTech / Moderna / AstraZeneca / Johnson & Johnson / Janssen. Some Member States recognize other vaccines which have not yet received marketing authorization from the European Medicines Agency. It is up to the Member States to decide whether they will accept a vaccination certificate after a single dose or after a complete vaccination cycle. Most Member States recognize, however, that people who have recovered from Covid-19 and received a single dose of the vaccine have followed a full vaccination course.
