(Finance) – No more restrictions for the vaccinated (also in the red zone), green pass with unlimited duration for those who have completed the vaccination cycle (including those who have only had two doses of vaccine and are cured of Covid), quarantine at school from 10 to 5 days and only for the unvaccinated, distance learning (DAD) that starts from five cases up through nurseries, maternal and elementary, foreigners who will be able to access hotels and restaurants even if they only have the basic pass. These are the main anti-Covid regulations approved today by the Council of Ministers, one month after the last decree. While the government has been compact in pushing for more reopening, it has split over the school: the League has decided not to vote on the rules that “discriminate against unvaccinated children”.
The school
The DAD passes from 10 to 5 days in all schools of all levels and will remain only for the unvaccinated, with the exception of the 0-6 year age group, in which vaccination is not authorized. In the kindergartens and preschools all children will stay at home when there are 5 or more cases of Covid positivity in the classroom (no longer in the presence of a case as is the case today), while at elementary, middle and high school distance learning will start only for the unvaccinated: in the primary, as well as for the 0-6 range, from the fifth case up, to the secondary ones from the second onwards.
On these rules, the ministers of the League have decided to abstain. “While sharing the opening measures contained in the decree approved today in CDM, in good conscience we could not approve of discrimination between vaccinated and unvaccinated children – Giancarlo Giorgetti, Massimo Garavaglia and Erika Stefani made it known – Fortunately, the data tell us that infections are falling every day and our duty is to work with determination on concrete issues to solve the country’s problems “.
The green pass
Shortly after the reduction of the green pass from 9 to 6 months, with the aim of pushing people to take the third dose, the government retraces its steps and aligns itself with the rest of Europe. The new decree provides that, for those who have completed the vaccination cycle and also for those who are infected and recovered after being vaccinated, the pass is valid “without the need for further booster doses”. For those who are infected after the first dose, the certificate will be valid for 6 months.
Tourism
The government also wanted to resolve the paradox that provided that foreigners could enter Italy with the basic pass but not stay in a hotel, eat in a restaurant or access activities where the enhanced one is provided. From the entry into force of the provision, those who have been vaccinated and recovered for less than 6 months will be able to access it with the basic pass. On the other hand, those who have a certificate of recovery or vaccination for more than six months – including those obtained with Sputnik or with other vaccines not authorized by Italy – will have to show the negative result of a swab carried out 48 hours before if antigenic or 72 if molecular. Swab which is not mandatory if you are cured after completing the vaccination course.
