Stating that there is no need to quarantine contacts who have received a reminder dose, CDC stated that these people, on the other hand, should wear a mask for 10 days.
CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said in a press release that the changes “enable people to go about their daily lives with confidence.”
“Our best option to prevent transmission of the virus is: Get vaccinated, get your reminder dose, wear a mask indoors, and test before you enter an environment,” Walensky said.

If the Covid-19 test is positive:
- Regardless of vaccination status, everyone should stay at home for 5 days.
- If there are no symptoms or if the symptoms are gone after 5 days, quarantine can be ended after 5 days.
- However, a mask should be worn for the next 5 days.
- If there is a fever, he should stay at home until this situation is over.
