(Finance) – Themeeting at the Ministry of Education and Merit to discuss, with i school unions, the evolution of the epidemiological situation. L’Anief participated with general secretaries Chiara Cozzetto and Daniela Rosano. The Minister of Education and Merit Valditara announced a few days ago the establishment of a interministerial table which will meet periodically to monitor the evolution of the situation based on scientific evidence relating to the progress of the virus. The Government intends to adopt all measures that experts deem useful to contain the contagion, in particular to protect students and fragile staff. The Ministry, following the government initiative and at the request of the social partners, today called together all the school unions.
At today’s meeting Anief expressed appreciation for the openness and collaboration that the Administration is demonstrating with this first and timely call. “In the past – declares the president Marcello Pacifico – we contested a line that led to discriminatory treatment of colleagues; We hope this approach can never be repeated again, especially since the model on which the Ministry of Health is working is that of an endemic regime and not a pandemic. The Ministry clarified that an update of vaccines is underway and that the diffusion of vaccines will provide priorities and precedence that will depend on the state of health of the subjects”.
“From an organizational point of view management of educational institutions will undoubtedly require additional resources and Anief can make a strong claim to having achieved a additional staff for ATA staff. The additional staff – Anief said in a note – will be operational starting from mid-October and, for the moment, until 31 December but with the possibility of extending these contracts until the end of the lessons, a possibility on which the union is working in concert with the Ministry. Of course, careful and responsible management of the evolution of infections will be important, taking into account above all fragile staff and not overloading educational institutions with tasks that are not theirs. We look forward to the next meetings to share the guidelines for managing infections.
