According to the news of the German newspaper Die Welt, Germany has decided to take measures that will be valid from October to March for the Covid wave, which is predicted by some scientists and is expected to come in winter. It is expected that wearing masks in restaurants, bars and shops will become mandatory during this time in the country. It is unclear whether it will be implemented again in schools and kindergartens.

IT WILL ALSO PREVENT INFECTIONS
Proponents of the plan reportedly hope this will not only slow the spread of Covid, but also curb the spread of other lung infections at this time of year when flu infections are typically high. Wearing masks in the country is currently only mandatory in public transport and in health and care institutions.
MINISTER OF HEALTH SPEAK
Speaking on Friday, Health Minister Karl Lauterbach presented his seven-point plan for the fall, when Covid cases are expected to rise, but did not mention a possible six-month mask-wearing rule.
Lauterbach didn’t go into too many details in his announcement, but he committed to using three different types of vaccines to ensure people get the doses that will best protect them. He added that they will do everything possible to prevent schools from closing.
“This will not be a normal fall, but we want to go in better than last year and the year before that,” said Lauterbach. He added that key points of the new Infection Protection Law will be published before the Bundestag goes into summer recess next month.
