Six arrested in Beijing for falsifying PCR
The Beijing authorities they announced the arrest of six people for alleged falsification of data in the PCR tests that have been taking place in recent weeks in the Chinese capital, according to local media reports today.
The detainees are all Push Medical Laboratory workersi, which had its license to practice as a medical institution revoked and was in charge of conducting mass tests in the Fangshan district, one of the areas most affected by the resurgence of the omicron variant that has hit the city.
The measure was taken, according to the capital’s Health Department, because the data provided regarding the tests were significantly lower than the number of samples analyzed, which would have concealed several positive results that could have caused the focus of the district in question.
