How many French people are vaccinated against Covid?

Vaccination against Covid-19 continues to continue in France with vaccines Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Janssen. As of January 10, according to Ministry of Health, 53,300,369 people received at least one injection (i.e. 79.1% of the total population) and 52,049,639 people now have a complete vaccination schedule (i.e. 77.2% of the total population). 28 854 920 people also received a booster dose. 20.6% of the French population is not vaccinated against Covid.

What are the Covid figures for the vaccinated and the unvaccinated?

77.5% of the French population is fully vaccinated and 20.6% is not vaccinated (the others having a still incomplete vaccination schedule). Twice a month, the Data-gouv.fr site publishes the distribution of positive Covid cases according to the person’s vaccination. “This period is necessary for the vaccination to be considered complete and effective (at +7 days) and for the data on the tests to be consolidated” specifies the site. These indicators reflect the number of positive RT-PCR tests per 100,000 vaccinated or unvaccinated people aged 20 and over.

How many deaths from Covid in France?

The government and Public Health France websites report Covid deaths in hospitals and in social and medico-social establishments, i.e. 125,718 as of January 10, 2022. Covid deaths outside these structures are not recorded in real time.

Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, theINSEE recorded a mortality “exceptional in 2020” with nearly 669,000 deaths from all causes, i.e. 56,000 more than in 2019 (+ 9%).

According to’Ined, 68,000 deaths would be attributable to the Covid epidemic in 2020.
