How many French people are vaccinated against Covid?

Vaccination against Covid-19 continues to continue in France with vaccines Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Janssen. At January 25according to Ministry of Health, 53,857,474 people received at least one injection (i.e. 79.9 % of total population) and 52,534,085 people now have a full immunization schedule (i.e. 77.9% of the total population). 34,301,653 people also received a booster dose. 20.1% of the French population is not vaccinated against Covid. At January 18, 61.2% people 18 years old and more had received a booster dose.

77.9% of the French population is fully vaccinated and 20.1% is not vaccinated (the others having a still incomplete vaccination schedule). Twice a month, the Data-gouv.fr site publishes the distribution of positive Covid cases according to the person’s vaccination. “This delay is necessary for the vaccination to be considered complete and effective (at +7 days) and for the data on the tests to be consolidated” specifies the site. These indicators reflect the number of positive RT-PCR tests per 100,000 vaccinated or unvaccinated people aged 20 and over.

How many Covid deaths in France?

Government and Public Health France sites report Covid deaths in hospitals and in social and medico-social establishments, i.e. 129,489 to January 25, 2022. Covid deaths outside these structures are not recorded in real time.

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, theInsee recorded a “exceptional mortality in 2020” with almost 669,000 deaths from all causes, i.e. 56,000 more deaths than in 2019 (+9%).

According to’INED68,000 deaths are attributable to the Covid epidemic in 2020.
