How many French people are vaccinated against Covid?

Vaccination against Covid-19 continues to continue in France. At March 17according to Ministry of Health, 54,265,589 people received at least one injection (i.e. 80.5% of total population) and 53,337,933 people now have a full immunization schedule (i.e. 79.1% of total population) and 39,362,871 people received a booster dose. 19.2% of the French population is not vaccinated against Covid. As of March 15, vaccination coverage was generally stable compared to the previous week: 83.0% of those aged 65 and over and 74.4% of those aged 80 and over had received a booster shot.

79.1% of the French population is fully vaccinated and 19.2% is not vaccinated (the others having a still incomplete vaccination schedule). Twice a month, the Data-gouv.fr site publishes the distribution of positive Covid cases according to the person’s vaccination. “This delay is necessary for the vaccination to be considered complete and effective (at +7 days) and for the data on the tests to be consolidated” specifies the site. These indicators reflect the number of positive RT-PCR tests per 100,000 vaccinated or unvaccinated people aged 20 and over.

How many Covid deaths in France?

Government and Public Health France sites report Covid deaths in hospitals and in social and medico-social establishments, i.e. 140,729 to March 17, 2022. Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, theInsee recorded a “exceptional mortality in 2020” with almost 669,000 deaths from all causes, i.e. 56,000 more deaths than in 2019 (+9%).

According to’INED68,000 deaths are attributable to the Covid epidemic in 2020.
