How many French people are vaccinated against Covid?

Vaccination against Covid-19 continues to continue in France with vaccines Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Janssen. At January 18, according to Ministry of Health, 53,649,830 people received at least one injection (i.e. 79.6 % of total population) and 52,329,034 people now have a full immunization schedule (i.e. 77.6% of the total population). 32,421,168 people also received a booster dose. 20.1% of the French population is not vaccinated against Covid. January 17, 90.6% of the population aged 12 and over had a complete vaccination schedule.

These indicators reflect the number of positive RT-PCR tests per 100,000 vaccinated or unvaccinated people aged 20 and over.

Government and Public Health France sites report Covid deaths in hospitals and in social and medico-social establishments, i.e. 127,638 as of January 18, 2022. Covid deaths outside these structures are not recorded in real time.

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, theInsee recorded a “exceptional mortality in 2020” with almost 669,000 deaths from all causes, i.e. 56,000 more deaths than in 2019 (+9%).

According to’INED, 68,000 deaths are attributable to the Covid epidemic in 2020.
