[Mis à jour le 8 février 2022 à 10h18] The circulation of the coronavirus continues in France but with 46,001 new cases registered in the last 24 hours, a very low figure, like every Tuesday because of a catch-up. The hospitalizations are up slightly by around 3% while the number of patients in critical care continues to decline slightly (-2%). “In week 4 (January 24 to 30), the circulation of SARS-CoV-2 has slowed down on national territory with a rate ofincidence down 8%. This indicator nevertheless continued to increase among those aged 70 and over and remained at a very high level (over 3,000 cases per 100,000 inhabitants) in the majority of regions. How many French people are vaccinated against Covid?
Vaccination against Covid-19 continues to continue in France with vaccines Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Janssen. At February 7according to Ministry of Health, 54 101 360 people received at least one injection (i.e. 80.2% of total population) and 52,926,729 people now have a full immunization schedule (i.e. 78.5 % of total population). 36,727,723 people have also received a booster dose. 19.7% of the French population is not vaccinated against Covid. At February 1, 81.4% of people aged 65 and over had received a booster vaccination. This proportion was only 73.2% among those aged 80 and over.
78.5% of the French population is fully vaccinated and 19.7% is not vaccinated (the others having a still incomplete vaccination schedule). Twice a month, the Data-gouv.fr site publishes the distribution of positive Covid cases according to the person’s vaccination. “This delay is necessary for the vaccination to be considered complete and effective (at +7 days) and for the data on the tests to be consolidated” specifies the site. These indicators reflect the number of positive RT-PCR tests per 100,000 vaccinated or unvaccinated people aged 20 and over.
How many Covid deaths in France?
Government and Public Health France sites report Covid deaths in hospitals and in social and medico-social establishments, i.e. 132,923 to February 7, 2022. Covid deaths outside these structures are not recorded in real time.
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, theInsee recorded a “exceptional mortality in 2020” with almost 669,000 deaths from all causes, i.e. 56,000 more deaths than in 2019 (+9%).
According to’INED68,000 deaths are attributable to the Covid epidemic in 2020.
