After France and other countries, it is in Germany that a manufacturer of anti-Covid vaccines will be judged. The trial of BioNtech was to open this Monday, June 12, before a court in Hamburg, but it was adjourned. A German woman who was given the vaccine is seeking damages for the lasting side effects she claims to have suffered. The plaintiff’s law firm requested that the judge be recused for bias and that the case be heard by a panel of magistrates instead. The trial was therefore interrupted for procedural reasons, but should resume in a few days.
