Covid 19 the new rules for the health pass

The pandemic is evolving and so are the conditions for the vaccination pass. From now on, to have an active vaccination pass, we apply the maxim that “one infection = one injection”, wanted by the government. But the rules change depending on each person’s vaccination status. Lighting on the question.

There is something new about the vaccine pass: people who have been vaccinated twice had until now the obligation to take their third dose within three months of their infection no longer need to do so. It is this group of people who are most affected by the change, as they previously only had 30 days to complete their recall and keep a pass active.

One infection = one injection, 4 scenarios

Indeed, the government now believes that the third infection is currently having a booster effect. And therefore applies the rule “one infection = one injection”. In fact, for optimal protection, the immune system must have been in contact with the virus or vaccine three times. But to benefit from the pass, it will always be necessary “to have had at least one dose of vaccine” recalls Olivier Véran.

Several scenarios to benefit from the vaccination pass

    1. First scenario: the non-vaccinated person. If she has not had the Covid, she cannot benefit from a vaccination pass. If she has had Covid, she will be entitled to a recovery certificate valid for 4 months, which will begin 11 days after the positive test.
    2. Second scenario: the person who has only been vaccinated once. If she has not had the Covid, she can partially activate her vaccination pass, subject to presenting a negative test less than 24 hours with it. If she had the Covid before her first dose or 15 days after, she can claim the health pass, but on condition of making a reminder within 4 months (for the Pfizer, Moderna or Astra-Zeneca vaccines) or within 2 months for Janssen vaccine, after infection or injection.
    3. Third scenario: the person has had two doses. If she has not had the Covid, she keeps a valid vaccine pass for 4 months, after which time she will have to take a third dose to keep it active. If she has had two doses of vaccine and catches the virus, before or after the second dose, her pass is valid.
    4. Finally fourth and last scenario: the person has had three doses without having the Covid: his health pass is valid. If she had three doses and the disease, ditto.

    To “simplify the rules”…

According to our colleagues from Parisian, these changes were decided after the opinion of the High Authority for Health and the Council for the Orientation of the Vaccine Strategy, to “simplify the rules”. It remains to be seen when all this will be activated in the TousAntiCovid application.
