Covid-19: the complaint of the College of Physicians against Professor Christian Perronne rejected

Covid 19 the complaint of the College of Physicians against Professor

The complaint filed in December 2020 by the National Council of the Order of Physicians (Cnom) against Professor Christian Perronne, for remarks deemed controversial on the Covid-19 epidemic, was rejected at first instance, learned the AFP this Monday, October 24.

“The complaint of the National Council of the Order of Physicians is rejected,” ruled the disciplinary chamber of the Ile-de-France regional council, in a decision made public on Friday and of which AFP obtained a copy on Monday. Contacted, the Cnom indicated its intention to appeal “as soon as possible”.

Almost two years ago, the Cnom had examined a series of complaints or reports targeting doctors, for facts or comments made publicly on the coronavirus pandemic. He had decided to seize the disciplinary chambers of first instance with complaints, or to join an ongoing complaint against six doctors, including the controversial infectiologist Christian Perronne, then head of the infectious and tropical diseases department at the Raymond-Poincaré hospital in Garches (Hauts-de-Seine).

No “call to violence” or “incitement to hatred”

In its complaint, the Cnom denounced its “outrageous remarks contrary to any principle of dignity”, as well as “several rules of medical ethics”, and accused it of having “put patients at an unjustified risk” by its defense of hydroxychloroquine. These arguments were swept away by the disciplinary chamber, which considered that the positions of Professor Perronne “did not endanger the action undertaken by the public authorities”, nor promoted “a remedy or an illusory or insufficiently experienced”.

Affirming that this “internationally recognized specialist” was “legitimate” to express himself on the subject and “even had the obligation to do so”, the body underlines that the respondent did not “call for violence, or incite to hatred, or had an ‘antivax’ speech” and that he did not “seriously implicate colleagues either”. Christian Perronne was dismissed from his position as head of department at the end of 2020 following the filing of the Cnom complaint.

As Conspiracy Watch recalls, the observatory of conspiracy, Christian Perronne participated Wednesday, October 19 in a conference in a room of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, on the initiative of the MEP of the National Rally Virginie Joron. This demonstration brought together different voices from the antivax, covido-conspiratorial and extremist sphere. Christian Perronne notably, on this occasion, broadcast a presentation where the Covid-19 pandemic was described as a “plandemic”, the vaccine “useless” and early treatments such as hydroxychloroquine credited with having “proven of their effectiveness.

Since 2020, AFP Factual and many other media, including L’Express, have devoted several verification articles to some of Professor Perronne’s statements on anti-Covid vaccination, in which many scientists have refuted his words.
